i/ii Clinic
CRS Mannheim, our largest unit, features a clinic with three distinct wards, each containing 18 high-care beds, and an additional 50 long-term stay beds spread over two floors. The facility also boasts multifunctional rooms, an 800 sqm outpatient area, and a large garden, making it highly adaptable to various trial designs.
Historically part of Mannheim’s University Hospital’s pediatric department, CRS Mannheim has a long-standing track record of conducting a wide range of Phase I and II clinical trials, adhering to the highest quality standards. From first-in-human (FiH) trials to proof-of-concept (PoC) Phase IIa trials, our expertise spans cardiovascular, central nervous system, dermatology, ARDS, pain management (including narcotics), and more.
Mannheim is part of the Rhine-Neckar metropolitan area, home to approximately 2.4 million people and a hub for global companies and bio-pharmaceutical research. CRS Mannheim excels in cardiometabolic research, covering obesity, diabetes, metabolic disorders, and cardiovascular diseases. Our clinic is equipped with advanced facilities, including relevant laboratories for blood and urine processing, a laminar flow hood, six examination rooms, a central cardiovascular monitoring unit, and a minimally invasive operating theatre.
One of our unique advantages is our proximity to a small-scale contract manufacturer licensed under § 13 AMG (German Medical Law). This facility, located just 500 meters from our clinic, allows us to handle EU drug import, packaging, labeling, and IMP reconstitutions, all in compliance with the latest standards.
At CRS Mannheim, we offer a full spectrum of clinical trial services, including Clinical Data Management (CDM), Medical Writing, Quality Assurance, and Clinical Trial Supply Management (CTSM). Our expertise in drafting development roadmaps and budgeting further enhances our support for your clinical research needs.
Our augmented-care section features 36 beds across three wards, with 32 beds directly linked to centralized monitoring and 16 telemetric devices. The comfort section for long-term stays includes 50 beds over two floors. Our 800 sqm outpatient area, with a separate entrance, accommodates up to 200 volunteers/patients without interfering with in-house activities.
We have a robust patient collective for cardiometabolic research, ensuring efficient patient recruitment and trial execution. Dr. Marina Streckebein, our Medical Director, brings extensive expertise to our operations, supported by a dedicated team of clinical experts.
